SCT X4 Power Flash Programmer

So I'm stuck paying for a Ford escape for the next 5 years - the wife got a different vehicle... So I figured I might as well have fun with it. Torrie really woke up the 2.0 litre ecoboost. Merging is much easier now and the mid range is significantly better. You can expect better mileage if you keep your foot out of it, and more fun factor when your foot goes down. He's been very patient to deal with, as I had lots of stupid questions. He doesn't always have time to answer them all, but his persistence in the tuning aspect is unrivaled. I'd send him a log of me driving, he'd make changes and email me a new tune. I read reviews saying "I'm not sure if the guy ever sleeps"... And I can see why. Whether it's Tuesday morning at 8 am or Sunday evening - I always hear back from him VERY promptly. Long story short, whatever you're driving... If you're thinking about whether or not to place an order - just do it! You will not be disappointed.

Easy to use product with excellent support!

The X4 is typical SCT hardware. It works just fine, has a simple interface, and the software is easy to navigate. Only thing they need to work on is Mac compatibility. Probably not a big deal noways, it works seamlessly on my Macbook Pro using Parallels. Now the important stuff: the tune. The UL tune is spectacular. It woke the motor up like it should have been from the factory. If you have an AT, don't let your manual friends talk trash anymore, this tune will work that auto to the tune of punching gears harder and faster than any manual. Drivability is as good or better than stock when driving like a law abiding citizen. Open it up and you will be rewarded with well developed power delivery that isn't obnoxious or gimmicky. This is the first $400 I dropped into my just off the lot 2015 Mustang 2.3T, by far this will probably be the best mod I do.

I previously had a Diablo Sport (expensive, very nice) tuner - I always stayed away from the SCT's (v3) because they seemed cheap to me -- after picking up the SCT v4 to tune my Taurus SHO, I was pretty surprised/happy with the quality. Build quality and accompany software is solid - no issues with it. Tuner has a good feel to it, very clean/simple interface, not a complex mess or hard to use. For an inexpensive tuner, would absolutely get again. The one disappointment I had was the Gauge display will only show 2 values at the same time (for example, boost and AFR) -- there seems to be enough screen real estate to show more if there were a 'simplified' version of the gauges... for example, smaller fonts and 'current value' instead of showing the current value and min/max ranges with big fonts. That's really my only complaint and it's not even that serious of a complaint - just a 'nice to have' - the rest of it has been great to use.

I have been waiting to write this review, I do not get the chance to drive my F150 much - I have a company vehicle - so it sits in the garage a lot. Anyway, it has been a few thousand miles since I got the SCT and Torrie's tuning - just awesome. This is how the truck should come from the factory! Torrie is awesome! Extremely fast on email response, and he is dead on. the shift points for the trans are great. I did go mild, only went with the 89 octane tuning, though I do believe I will be getting in touch with Torrie for the 93 octane tune soon. I did notice that with the 89 tune, if I use 89 octane I get around 15-16 mpg and that's playing with it. if I use 93 octane the mpg jumps to 19-20mpg. Not even trying to conserve fuel. If it helps I have a 2011 F150 Screw 3.5l Lariat, no other mechanical mods. Now I NEED the Hellwig rear sway bar.

I purchased this for my 2015 Ford Escape and it arrived really quick! However it was not able to tune my car because it's engine strategy was not recognized by the device (SCT). Torrie has been very responsive to my concerns and emails

Large differance in performance , coupled with JMS Max throttle pedal the quickness on takeoff and top end. Thanks for putting back what Ford took away. If you have a 2015 V6 Mustang you need a tuner from Torrie. I'll have some numbers for you tomorrow. Thank you Torrie

Have a 2005 Ford Escape 2.3 with some bolt on's. Wanted to wake the motor up more for better daily driving performance. Had a custom 91 octane non-ethanol performance tune. World of difference under daily normal use and the power is so much smoother and if you need the power it's definitely there when you're WOT!

If you want to make your driving experience a Christmas everyday, purchase a tune and and give yourself that gift. Truly fantastic results and unparalleled customer service. A great experience from start to finish, and by the way, it doesn't end.

This was my first time using a tuner and the SCT passed the test. I opened the box, connected the unit to my wi-fi, and it updated itself rather quickly. Once I had that taken care of, my custom tunes from Torrie were waiting for me in my email, and I was able to upload them easily. The whole process from box to tune took about an hour. The tune itself, took less than 10 minutes. If you want your Ecoboost Mustang to run like a scalded dog, get this tuner!
